Some Signs Of Gluten Intolerance

There are some signs and symptoms of gluten intolerance and Celiac disease that are over looked or not thought of as a gluten intolerance.  I will list a few of them.

1.  Keratisis Pilaris-  This is known as a chicken like looking skin, commonly found on the backside of the arms and thighs.  This is a result from a fatty acid deficiency, which can be caused by gluten damaging the gut.

2.  Headaches- When someone has persistent headaches that will not go away.  If they are not due to dehydration, then seek medical attention.  This could be a sign of gluten intolerance.
3.  Autoimmune Disease-  There are many auto immune diseases, such as Lupus, Multiple Sclerosis, Colitis, Thyroid, to name a few that have been linked to gluten intolerance.
4.  Digestive Problems- Persistent constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating are the most obvious signs of gluten intolerance.  In children gluten intolerance is seen as constipation usually.
5.  Dizziness- Feeling dizzy for no reason, or off balance are 2 more signs of gluten intolerance.
6.  Chronic Fatigue-  With Celiac disease this is known as brain fog.  If you are tired and feel like your in a fog contact your doctor.
7.  Fibromyalgia- Some people who are diagnosed with chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia are actually gluten intolerant. 
These are just some to name a few, signs and symptoms of gluten intolerance.  It is often misunderstood and under diagnosed.
